Description
Experience the thrill of a spring Rio Grande turkey hunt on these private ranches in stunning Mendocino County, Northern California. A diverse terrain—featuring rolling hills, forests, canyons, and brushlands, along with an abundance of natural springs—creates an ideal habitat for wild turkey. Because these hunts are exclusively on private land, the outfitter is able to keep hunting pressure low, significantly increasing your chances of harvesting a mature tom. The spring season begins on the last Saturday in March and runs for 45 consecutive days. The archery and junior seasons remain open for two additional weeks after the general season closes. Hunts begin with decoys set up in known hot spots, and these experienced guides use traditional calling methods to bring in the birds. This is a high-success hunt you won’t want to miss. This will be a 2:1 two day hunt, with option to upgrade to a 1:1 hunt.
