Description

Estate Red Stag scoring 341-380" SCI are in a non-fenced hunting field surrounded by natural borders and free range tahr hunt for one hunter. This is a five day fully guided hunt. Hunter will stay in cottages during the stag hunt and stay in backcountry huts for the tahr hunt. Options to add many other iconic New Zealand big game as well as fishing and touring if desired for additional charges. Options to upgrade to a gold metal stag (371"-410") or add additional stag. Option for a 3 day Non-hunter program for spouses to tour local restaurants, wineries, and to explore the beautiful landscape for additional charge. Custom hunt filming photography available by request by local New Zealand videographer for additional cost.

                        Refund Policy:

                        Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Stay in luxury accommodations and enjoy 5 star meals. Prices for all food and drinks included in the price. Options for fishing, touring, and "non-hunter" programs available for additional costs. A great hunt to bring the whole family.

                        Hunter will stay in a cottage during duration of the hunt, but may upgrade to larger accommodations if desired. Prices vary for upgraded accommodations. All hunters will have access to the beautiful Cross Hill Lodge. Built in 2019, Cross Hill is a place where you can rest and relax during the day before joining up for pre-dinner drinks and dinner each evening. In 2020, a series of geodesic domes, will accommodate hunters. You will have your own private luxurious dome on the hill with your own deck and bathroom. Giving you time to enjoy your own space before meeting up with others.

                        Spot and stalk hunting for all species. Heavier hiking will be required for tahr. Hunter should be prepared with appropriate gear and be physically fit. Options for less strenuous hunting available. Ask your hunt specialist for these dates if there is physical fitness demands.

                        Description

                        Stag hunting will require some hiking in rolling hills. Hunter should be prepared to do some hiking. If tahr and chamois are also chosen, layering systems are recommended as weather in the mountains can vary. Bring comfortable hiking boots. Tahr hunting will require moderate to heavy hiking (depending on what time of year you book). Be prepared for steep and rocky terrain.
